There’s a motivational phrase that at one point had pretty much become a “buzz word”.

It was used by everyone… doctors, reporters and coaches… everyone who was rooting for the underdog.

Like I said, it was a “buzzword”!
Then … came the 1993 ESPY Awards and a truly unforgettable speech.

That’s when “Never Give Up” was given “real meaning”.

I think you now know the underlying theme connected to this recognition.🤔

The man who gave that speech happened to be a friend of mine. No, it’s not “name-dropping” … I’m just really proud to say that we were friends.

He coined another phrase, and those words are the foundation of this recognition, because the player being “spotlighted” is the “personification” of that phrase.

Jimmy once said … “Cherish every opportunity to suit up!”

That is who “Bobby Walenta” is!
He makes me want to make one more attempt.🤦🏽‍♂️
